Samantha Bonaparte
,
MSW, RSW
Clinical Specialist (Provisional)
Samantha is a Registered Social Worker with the NSCSW and has worked in the public mental health field for 13 years. She provides a relaxed, supportive counselling space, working with clients aged 16+ from her office in Sydney, Nova Scotia.
In practice, she offers an integrative psychotherapy approach, drawing from evidence-based therapies to support individual client needs. Therapies may include cognitive behavioural therapy, psychodynamic therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, and attachment-based family therapy.
With advanced training in perinatal mental health and working toward certification, Samantha has a particular interest in supporting women and families on their journeys to, and through, parenthood. She also offers parenting support, addressing issues such as child behaviours and parent burnout from an attachment-based lens. To address childcare barriers, babies and toddlers are always welcome in her space. Appointments can also be changed to virtual anytime.
Outside of work, she enjoys time with her partner and three children. Samantha is happiest drinking tea, spending time outside, and trying new things.
